Oy Vey...
Where do I begin?! Its simply been forever since Ive last posted. Life has been extremely busy! A Quick recap:
- I worked this Holiday season at the Bellevue Square Team Store. So. Much. Fun. Got to meet Jay Buhner. amazing. I do so love my job.
- Veronica (Chelsea's Sister) and I won the Gingerbread House Contest held at the Baer's. Everyone is still jealous.
- Got to get together with amazing friends...Girly and I got all dressed up for Chris Ford and Family Christmas Party where we gatehered with a bunch of our Mariner buddies (extremely fun to catch up with them all!) Allie, Jen, Jackie and I gathered for a yummy lunch and some shopping [the first time we were all together since...forever!] and Elena, Jaime and I gathered to meet Jay Buhner and do some Christmas Shopping!
- Since Mom and I went to California for Christmas, I met up with Jake and Quincy for breakfast and shopping when I got back from Cali and gave them their Christmas Presents..always a fun time and thank you for Breakfast!
- Had great Mom and Daughter (and Cameron!) bonding time! We shopped, watched movies and Christmas Specials, baked cookies [including our yearly sugar cookies!] and had a fabulous time together for 3 weeks!
- We went to LA to stay with Mellie for Christmas...Mom and I both left on Christmas Eve..just at different times. My flight left early and I was not happy to find myself walking on the tarmac and onto a propeller plane smaller than the Blazer. However, I have to say it was the best take off and landings I have ever experienced! I had a 3 hour layover in Portland where I read and cozied up with a peppermint mocha..mm! I finally arrived in LA around 1pm where Mel and I had In N Out for lunch and ran errands before picking Ma up at the airport.
- We had such a great Christmas Eve/Christmas...so relaxing! Mel had made Homeade Potato Soup (Disneyland's recipie!) and we ate that and opened presents, listened to music and caught up on life! (I got a fabulous new pair of UGGS from Mel and an ornament that is the RV from Christmas Vacation...and it talks!) Love it. On Christmas we slept in, had a lunch, and then went to Santa Monica where we walked on the pier and sat in this cute little Mexican Restauraunt [which sat on the pier...facing the water on all sides] with a firepit and hanging lights...it was so much fun. I ended my night watching Christmas Vacation..what a fabulous way to end Christmas!
- We spent a day in Disneyland...always so much fun. Saw Fantasmic for the first time...absolutely loved it!!! It was way crowded but we made the best of it and still managed to hit prettymuch all of our favorite rides.
- We travelled to San Diego for a day to visit with Uncle Bob and Aunt Patsy...so. much. fun. They have always been a favorite of mine...we enjoyed a nice lunch, went to our favorite frozen Yogurt shop and spent the day chatting [and hearing old family stories which is always entertaining!] I was sad to leave and even more sad to leave the next day...
- We spent my last day in Hollywood. We walked the streets going into all the tacky souvenir shops, looking at the sidewalk stars, and the famous hand and foot prints [which I hadn't seen before! I felt like Lucy with my excitement!]
- My trip home was definitely...interesting. My plane was suppossed to leave LAX at 8:20 and I was suppossed to get home around 12:50 [with a layover in San Fran] I got to the airport way early [because of the attempted terrorist attack] and was worried about getting through security. Got through it fine. Got on the plane..fine. We started to head to the runway when we stopped and were told that there was a weather delay...50 minutes later we left LAX we finally landed in San Fran at 10:45...my connecting flight had been delayed until 10:55..we finally got off the plane at 11:10 and I had to then run through the airport hoping my flight had not left. I was lucky. I rush on the plane, get my suitcase and rush to the bathroom and sit down and wait...and wait...and wait. Our pilots were still in the air. We didnt even leave San Fran until after midnight. Got into Seattle at 2am, took the tram to Baggage Claim where I was to meet Allie who had graciously agreed to pick me up at this horrendous hour...except her car died while waiting for me in the cellphone lot. I grabbed a ride to the lot with the lady who I had sat next to on the plane. [side note..she happened to be a Lesbian and when I got to the car her sister told her husband that I was this girls new girlfriend. so. not. funny at the moment. but I did appreciate the ride]. We were finally rescued by Allie's Dad and I arrived home at 4am after getting to the airport at 6pm. Atleast Cameron was happy to see me! :)
- Picked Mom up at the airport on New Years Eve and had a nice quiet evening at home and I believe I passed out prettymuch at Midnight
- I am now back at school. I love my classes. I am taking: Colonial America, Pre-World History, The Progressive Era and my Senior Assesment Class.
- On top of that I got a job as a Nanny 4 days a week. The kids are awesome.
- We had a fabulous girls weekend...Two friends from our freshman dorm had a joint Birthday Party and Allie, Jen, and Jackie all came over for it. Add Sarah and Chelsea and we had a prettyfun girls night out. I love my friends.
- Just when the snow had melted...it snowed again. Im so sick of the slush. I dont mind the hard frozen snow, but I do mind the slushy wettness.
- Chelsea and I beat the new Super Mario Brothers for the wii. It was quite the accomplishment. We had to work together [as in we were playing Mario and Luigi at the same time] to beat each level. It definitely took teamwork. And while there was crying, screaming, hitting, and cursing [we were banned from playing when Sarah was home] we beat that dang Bowser! whooo whooooo!
